Vignan’s saga that sets through time is to step back to the year 1997, a pivotal moment when Vignan Engineering College emerged as the inaugural campus in Vadlamudi. This esteemed institution was meticulously brought to life under the visionary guidance of the Vignan Educational Trust, with the driving force behind it being none other than Dr. Lavu RathaiahVignan Engineering College transitioned to a Deemed University in 2008 after a decade of establishment. It is affiliated with JNTU Hyderabad, Kakinada, and Anantapur, approved by AICTE and NBA, and holds ISO 9001:2000 certification. VFSTR achieved NAAC 'A' grade in 2015, UGC (12B) recognition in 2020, NBA accreditation for five programmes, ISO 9001:2015 certification, and maintains a consistent NIRF ranking around 100. It's also recognized as a research centre by DSIR. Vignan Group of Schools were established as Vignan Tutorials in 1982 by Dr.L.Rathaiah who completed his postgraduation and doctoral thesis on child psychology. He started Vignan High School in 1983.
